What We do
Charlotte’s first Adaptive Primary Care Practice and holistic house calls pediatrician.

Tired of barriers in healthcare? So are we.
It’s not normal to wait days for a sick visit, or weeks/months for a check up! It also shouldn’t be so difficult to talk to your doctor outside of the 10 minutes you have with them in the office. Since when did getting care for your kid become so frustrating?
Enter Dr. Trey with Peds MD, pioneering Adaptive Primary CareTM – where healthcare adapts to your family, not the other way around. With Dr. Trey you’re more than a number. Goodbye to wasted evenings in the ER or urgent care. Goodbye to sleepless nights worrying about your child. Goodbye to generic advice from nurse triage. Goodbye to patient portals. Goodbye to the DMV-like experience of corporate medicine.
Direct access to your pediatrician means never having to wonder what next step to take for your child.
Are you looking for more holistic, compassionate healthcare? Ready to experience care that adapts to you? You’re ready for the Peds MD.
Overview
On-demand or ongoing access to care, it’s up to you.

Advice When You Need It
Let’s face it, healthcare is not convenient for parents. Sometimes you just need professional advice in the moment instead of making lists for checkups months away. “What’s this rash?” “How much ibuprofen can I give?” “Can you sign these school forms?”
We’re here to help you whenever something comes up.
Holistic, Whole Body Care
Ever just feel like you’re getting standard advice with your pediatrician? Ever wanted to dive deeper but feel like you’re hitting a wall?
With Dr. Trey, we try to get to the root of problems while also focusing on proactive health. Gain more insight into your child’s gut health, metabolism, and more.
In-Home or Virtual
Virtual visits are often enough, but what if an in-person visit is needed or preferred? No sweat. If you’re in our service area around Charlotte, NC (even across the border in SC!) Dr. Trey can come to you or meet you at his office. How’s that for convenience?
Personalized Care, Anywhere
Traveling and away from home? No problem! General advice can be given anywhere. It never hurts to ask.

FAQs
How are the virtual sessions conducted?
Our virtual visits are done through our HIPAA compliant platform, Spruce Health.
Do you bill insurance?
Not exactly. I don’t bill directly to insurance but can provide you the paperwork needed to submit. I try to use your insurance wherever possible, though, like with labs or x-rays. Visits are FSA/HSA eligible as well!
What commitment is required?
There is no commitment for on-demand services. For SVO and VO members, cancellation requests must be completed at least 1 month in advance. For our Primary Care Membership, the term is at least 6 months OR until your child turns 1, whichever is longer.
Do you require vaccines?
We offer vaccines but do not require them! We understand every family is different and deeply respect parent choice. We are a vaccine-friendly office, made easier by the fact that we don’t have a waiting room. No pressure, just partnership.
Do I have to be a member to request a visit?
Absolutely not. Though membership has its perks, non-members can complete text encounters or request a visit.
How quick of a response can I expect?
As a member, responses are within 30 minutes during the week and 1 hour on weekends. For non-members, it depends on member obligations. We strive to respond as quickly as possible! Night time support is included for members only, otherwise night time messages will be answered the next business day. New memberships are not processed outside of business hours.
How hard is it to get a virtual visit?
Not hard at all! Priority is given to TPMD members. Visits are available during weekdays only for non-members.
I’m not in NC. Can I have a virtual visit?
Text support can be provided, but virtual visits are limited.
What kind of care do you provide?
We see kids anywhere from 0-22. We offer both holistic primary care as well as sick visit care, virtually and in-person! We diagnose and treat acute medical concerns like high fevers, sinus infections, colds, ear infections, rashes, and others. We offer testing for RSV, flu, strep, and others. We can also help diagnose and manage mental health conditions. We can provide ongoing support for chronic diagnoses and second opinions. We offer education and consultations on pediatric topics. If necessary, your child may be referred to an emergency room for further evaluation.
Are you accepting new members?
Membership is limited so that optimal care can be provided to each family. Submit an inquiry to learn more!
